Janita Stenhouse has been studying Yoga since 1967, teaching yoga since 1985, and at present is teaching yoga in central France, while also drawing and gardening (not necessarily at the same time or in that order).
She is also a teacher at the prestigious Ananda Ashram in South India, and has been given the initiated name "Jnanasundari". In 2011 she received the Yoga Chemmal award from the Pondicherry Yogasana Association.
Author of "The World According to Yogi Beher", "Morning Yoga Evening Yoga", "The Metamorphosis of âsana to samâdhî", and "Sun Yoga - the Book of Sûrya Namaskâr". She is a monthly columnist for "Yoga & Health", and "Infos Yoga"; quarterly in "Spectrum". Her latest book is "The Polair Illustrated Yoga Dictionary". Janita teaches seminars internationally.
