OM-Kara Kriya ® Graduate
Chris Allen MA (Psychotherapy) is a Psychotherapist and PhD researcher at Leeds Beckett University. He has been a student of Dr Jonn Mumford for the past fifteen years. He has also studied with other Tantra teachers, as well as those from different traditions, such as Grand Master John Kells, Lama Khemsar Rinpoche, and Dr Judith Blackstone, who has certified Chris to teach The Realization Process (Embodiment) practices.
Chris has a two year graduate Diploma from Dr. Mumford and can teach Om Kara Kriya, as well as advanced practices such as Tantric Puja, and Mantra Chikitsa.
Devoted towards the exploration of human consciousness, Chris has spent thirty years in the study of Yoga, Tantra and various other eastern wisdom and western mystery traditions. And he has explicitly focused on non-dual philosophy for the past ten years. Drawing from both Eastern and Western influences, Chris is currently researching the explicit integration of non-duality within psychotherapy for his PhD.
A student of Tantra and Kashmir Shaivism within the non-dual context, Chris teaches from the consciousness-first perspective. In the same breath, his approach to psychotherapy is also informed by the recognition of Self as fundamental consciousness, the background awareness behind all experience.
A combined psychotherapy and embodied transpersonal consultation such as ‘Realization Process’ is available. This can be achieved over Skype and lasts approximately 80-90 minutes. Enquire by Email regarding initially regarding appointments and fee.
Kriya Yoga, and other practices are also taught, but in a traditional manner by appointment.
