Sadashiva:
OM-Kara Kriya® 2nd Year Diploma Graduate
Sadashiva is a highly experienced Indian teacher in the ancient lineage of Tantric Yoga. He received these rare and precious teachings at the renowned Bihar School of Yoga, in keeping with the Guru-Shishya parampara (master-disciple tradition). Here he underwent a year long extensive training in the yoga & meditation under the guidance of Paramahamsa Niranjanananda (spiritual successor of Paramahamsa Satyananda).
Originally a student of psychology, he has completed his Masters in Applied psychology. He has been teaching Yoga & Meditation for the past 8 years to varied groups of people - from UN bodies to call centers, urban yoga studios to retreat centers. Apart from this he has designed and executed curriculum in awareness training for some Indian schools. He has also completed the teacher training programme offered at the Osho commune, Pune.
However the Tantric Kriyas has always been the principle path for him. During his schooling he went to a maths tuition & this teacher who was in fact a kriya yogi, inspired Sadashiva by sending him to his own teacher Swami Bhramananda Giri (belonging to theYogananda lineage) to receive his first kriya initiation at the age of 16.
Later, he had the great blessing of participating in a 3 month intensive training led by Sw. Janakananda (a senior disciple of Sw. Satyananda) culminating in the initiation into the Tantric kriya system as taught by Sw. Satyananda. And now under the guidance of Dr Jonn Mumford. He is being initiated into the potent Bengali Laya kriyas. In Dr Mumford, he has found the mentor whom he has been searching for a long time.
His vision is to create new models of teaching yoga & meditation; ones which keep the authenticity of these sacred practices while bringing a contemporary edge to the way these are offered. He may be contacted at [email protected]
“Here in this body are the sacred rivers: here are the sun and moon as well as all the sacred places... I have not encountered another shrine as blissful as my own body.”
